When More Than A Single Visit is Appropriate:
- Our practioners can provide more comprehensive medical care, including preventive services, diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions, and management of chronic diseases that are more than an urgent care visit can provide.
Why Hollister Urgent Care
- You want care now.
- Needs attention within 24 hours: The condition won't worsen if you wait a few hours, but it shouldn't be left untreated for longer than a day or two.
- We offer convenient access with longer hours, including evenings and weekends, and don't require appointments (although we do!).
- Less costly than an ER. Urgent care visits cost less than emergency room visits, especially for non-emergency conditions.
When to go to the Emergency Room instead of Hollister Urgent Care:
- Life-threatening conditions: Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, severe burns, poisoning, or head injuries.
- Conditions that require immediate hospitalization: For example, severe infections or injuries that may need surgery.
- Any condition that you're unsure about: If you're worried about your health or the severity of your symptoms, it's always best to err on the side of caution and seek emergency care.
Call 911 When:
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Any symptoms of a heart attack, including chest pain, pain in the left arm or the jaw, sudden weakness or dizziness
- Signs of a stroke such as slurred speech, severe headache, weakness or numbness on one side of the face or body, or loss of consciousness
- Life-or limb-threatening injury
