About Self-Pay
- Self-pay prices (also commonly known as “cash” pay prices) refer to the prices that you would pay for services if you didn’t have insurance or if you didn’t want your insurance to be billed.
- If you’re on a high-deductible plan and don’t anticipate meeting your deductible, you’d likely save money by paying the self-pay price out of pocket. The price charged to your insurance is usually higher than the self-pay price.
- Self-pay or paying cash for healthcare services can often be cheaper than using insurance.
- High-deductible health plans have led to patients paying more out-of-pocket at insurance-negotiated rates which can be higher than cash rates.
- Self-pay can be beneficial for services like blood tests, outpatient procedures, and diagnostic assessments, especially if the insurance deductible hasn't been met.
- Self-pay also allows patients to choose from a wider range of providers and negotiate better deals.
You may submit your receipt from Hollister Urgent Care to your insurance company for reimbursement or to meet your annual deductible. (Hollister Urgent Care can make no guarantees that your insurance company will accept it.)
